RSHE - Being in our world

This week, in RSHE, Year four have been thinking about the roles and responsibilities of all the people in our school community. We polished off our acting skills, playing charades, role playing the different members of our school environment.

The class had an excellent discussion around the importance of different roles, and who was the most important. We initially decided the care taker, before thinking they wouldn't need to keep a building safe and tidy if there wasn't children to attend the school. But if we had children in a safe and tidy school, then we'd need teachers to teach them. Though if we had teachers, we would also need teaching assistants for support. Then, with all these people in the building we'd need dinner ladies to keep us fed ... the puzzle was endless!

The children decided that there wasn't a single most important person in our community - every body is just as important as everybody else!
