Firelighting Revisited
Today has been a fabulous sunny day with year 6.
We have eased ourselves back into Friday sessions with having a pretty calm day. We used our flint and steels and some cotton wool to practise fire lighting. The children did amazing and everyone managed to light a fire. They enthusiastically reminded me of our fire safety and what they needed to remember when it came to lighting and maintaining a fire.

I have a little project for all the classes in the school to create some kindness wood cookies. I will talk more of this in time - but today, year 6 were the first class to create a wood cookie!

The children then played, made some dens and big houses out of materials around them. It was lovely to see them being creative and working together in little teams, developing their practical skills.
