Place Value  - Year 5

This week in maths we have been learning about place value.  Our learning has focused on: 

• Finding the value of each digit in numbers up to 1,000,000
• Partitioning numbers in different ways 
• Comparing and ordering numbers 
• Representing numbers in different ways e.g. Roman Numerals

The children have quickly picked up these skills and we have enjoyed using place value counters as a method of expressing our understanding.  Year 5 have also demonstrated outstanding oracy skills when presenting their learning to the whole class. Well done everyone!
