Walk(ing) like an Egyptian!

This week, year 4 visited Maidstone Museum to help further our learning about Ancient Egyptians. After taking the train into Maidstone, we started our day with an archaeologist detective workshop where we discovered more about the role before putting our new knowledge to the test, digging up a whole host of artefacts. As the morning went on, we learnt about the process of mummification and were incredibly lucky to handle 4,000 year old statues, amulets and jewellery! 

The afternoon saw us explore the museum’s Ancient Civilisation and Local Wildlife exhibits.
